Whether you're a longtime pork producer, a fair enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun way to spend the day, the California Pork Producers Association invites you to experience the many ways pork is showcased throughout the California State Fair.
From youth livestock exhibitions to live cooking demonstrations and interactive consumer education, there are opportunities for everyone to connect with California's pork industry and the people who make it possible.
July 17–18 | Junior Market & Breeding Swine Shows
Kick off your State Fair visit by cheering on California's talented 4-H and FFA exhibitors as they compete in the Junior Market and Breeding Swine Shows.
These young exhibitors have spent months raising, caring for, and preparing their projects for the show ring. You'll also see the outstanding genetics developed by many of California's pork breeders on display as exhibitors compete for top honors.
The livestock shows are a great opportunity to witness the dedication, responsibility, and animal care that go into raising the next generation of pork producers.
July 18 | California Kitchen Demonstration
Saturday | 3:00–4:00 p.m. | Cooking Theatre Building B
Watch California Pork take center stage in the California Kitchen!
Chef John Trujillo of Mulvaney's B&L will join the California Pork Producers Association for a live cooking demonstration featuring pork as the star ingredient. Fairgoers will learn simple techniques and practical tips for preparing a delicious pork dish they can recreate at home.
Whether you're looking for new meal inspiration or simply love watching talented chefs in action, this demonstration is one you won't want to miss.
July 18 | Agricultural Showcase
2:00–5:00 p.m. | Livestock Pavilion
Stop by the Agricultural Showcase in the Livestock Pavilion to learn more about California agriculture and discover why pork continues to be a nutritious, versatile, and flavorful protein choice.

July 21 | Junior Chef Challenge: "CA Dreamin' of Pork Chops"
6:00–8:00 p.m. | Cooking Theatre Building B
Don't miss one of the most exciting culinary competitions of the fair!
Three talented young chefs will compete live in the California State Fair Junior Chef Challenge, creating an original recipe centered around pork chops while incorporating the creativity, flavors, and bounty of California agriculture. With just 45 minutes on the clock, contestants will transform fresh ingredients into dishes that highlight why pork deserves a place at the center of the plate.
